Terro the Evertras Fanboi who will give you bad advice on become an average mage in this World of Warcraft.
Today In this wonderful World of Mages we are going to look at How Macros (yea that dirty word) can help to improve you overall magey pwness. Today I will be showing you a few of my macros and how I use them to help me in my magey tricks.
The first one id like us to take a look at is the stop wtf im doing and ice block macro, This little bad boy helps us out buy doing two things the first thing it does is stops what ever im doing and makes me cast Ice Block. So for example im casting Frost bolt and relies and warrior had just charged me and is now blade storming me I can press my macro and boom! Im in the ice cold tomb that is iceblock then the second thing it does is allows me to cancel the Iceblock on the second key press this is extremely useful as it means i can pop in and out of iceblock in the time it takes me to press my keybind for it twice super handy just to get off those nasty shadow priest debuff =)
#showtooltip Ice Block /stopcasting /cancelaura Ice Block /cast Ice Block Secondly we should take a little look at Focus Macros, these things are wonders in Arena or Bgs and even Raiding! Yes a macros that can work for EVERYTHING! Depending what is in your focus macro depends on what it does personally I have 4 different ones. The first one is a mouse over set Focus Macro this lets me hover my mouse over a unitframe or player on my screen then set them as my focus (handy huh) I use this most of the time in arena on the Gladius Unit frames or in a heroic or raid when someone marks my moon i can just point my mouse on the moon to set it as my focus ready for when they need me to sheep. /focus [target=mouseover] Next ill talk about putting spells in to focus macros I use 3 diffrent types for these I have one for my Pollymorph one for deep freeze and another for counterspell. I will use a 2v2 arena match as an example, say we are focusing on the warlock and the Priest is about to flash heal the lock, as I have set the Priest as my focus it allows me to Counter spell the preist with out having to take my attention off the warlock, its prefect for keeping presser on oppents with out having to switch targets so that they know what your about to do. #showtooltip Counterspell /stopcasting /cast [target=focus] Counterspel #showtooltip Deep Freeze /stopcasting /cast [target=focus] Deep Freeze #showtooltop Polymorph /stopcasting /cast [target=focus] Polymorph So there you have it lady’s and Gentlemen my quick look at the macros i use and surprisingly improved my game just from a few lines of macroness
Yours TrulyTerro
